Languages

Many four-year degrees require either a second- or fourth-semester level proficiency of a second language, and students are strongly encouraged to complete this requirement at the community college prior to transfer. 

To determine second language requirements for your intended transfer degree, check the university catalog, visit the Yavapai College Majors Guide at AZTransfer, and/or meet with an Academic Advisor.  Students may demonstrate proficiency by completion of coursework and/or a proficiency test.  Yavapai College offers Spanish and Sign Language.
