HVA 112 - EPA Refrigerant Certification Prep
Description: Preparation for the EPA Section 608 Technician Certificate. Review of EPA guidelines for refrigerant recovery and recycling during the installation, service and repair of all HVAC and refrigeration systems. Includes an overview of low GWP refrigerants (A2L and A3 types).

- Refrigerant identification and characteristics
- Range of high-pressure refrigerants and oils
- Montreal Protocol and Clean Air Act
- Recovery process and devices

- HVAC equipment safety, proper handling and transport

- Practice safety procedures when using HVAC tools and equipment used in recovery, evacuation of refrigerants. (6-8)
