AVT 123 - Air Traffic Control Tower Procedures Description: Duties and responsibilities of each position in a typical Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) control tower. Includes Facility Letters of Agreements, Facility Standard Operating Procedures, and the duties and responsibilities of a Tower Controller as outlined in FAA orders.
Prerequisites: AVT 122 .

- ATC phraseology
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe controller positions and responsibilities in the control tower. (1)
- Describe the requirements of FAA JO 7110.65 as applied to the tower environment. (2)
- Use standard phraseology in typical scenarios confronted by air traffic controllers in a tower. (3)
- Apply separation minima between aircraft in typical scenarios occurring in the ATC environment. (2)
- Apply correct procedures to deal with wake turbulence situations. (2)
