TDP 210 - 3-D Model Optimization and Troubleshooting Description: 3-D printing for fabricating three-dimensional solid objects from a digital design. Focused on studying the properties of 3-D printed specimens and modeling with varying processing conditions such as infill pattern, infill density and infill speed, and also with different printing materials.

- Chemical composition and structure of engineered materials
- Types of 3-D materials used in additive manufacturing
- Designing for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM)
- 3-D scanning
- Material selection for a given design and manufacturing process

- Explain the meaning of key material properties relevant to engineered components. (1,2)
- Explain the relationships between chemical structure, manufacturing process parameters, and material properties. (1,2)
- Interpret the data from industry-standard material test methods for hardness, strength, ductility, etc. (2)
