ELT 295 - Apprenticeship: Electrical Instrumentation Description: Supervised field experience in electrical and instrumentation, motor control and/or process control.
Prerequisites: Program Admission.

Course Content:
- Technical skill development
- Workplace skills and professional ethics
- Workplace safety
Learning Outcomes:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on electrical instrumentation equipment. (1,3)
- Make repairs to electrical instrumentation equipment under the supervision of a senior technician. (1,3)
- Demonstrate discipline-specific safety tasks. (1,2,3)
- Demonstrate appropriate workplace behaviors and professional ethics. (2)
- Apply discipline-specific knowledge and skills in the professional workplace. (1,2,3)
- Utilize communication skills throughout the apprenticeship experience. (2)
- Use specialized equipment, software, and/or tools as required. (1,2,3)
Required Assessment:
- Contractual agreement that includes individual learning outcomes that are approved by supervising faculty
- Verification of employment with partner business for the duration of the semester
- A minimum of two evaluations by the workplace employer or supervisor.
