EUT 101 - Basic Electricity For Lineworkers Description: Basic principles of Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC). Examination of the structures and functions of AC/DC circuits including series, parallel and series-parallel circuits and how they are used in the electrical linework industry. Introduces transformer and poly-phase theory and how it applies to distribution systems. Includes grounding circuits, high voltage faults to ground, and linework-specific safety practices.
Credits: 4 Lecture: 3 Lab: 2
