AFL 202L - Leadership Laboratory Description: LLAB is a dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership developmental activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of prospective Department of the Air Force second lieutenants and complement the AFROTC academic program. It is a student-planned, organized, and executed practicum conducted under the supervision of the Detachment Commander and Operations Flight Commander.
Corequisite: AFL 202

Course Content: This course is designed as a follow-up to AFL 101 (101L) / AFL 102 (102L) and builds on the student's knowledge and experience gained from that first year. Aside from the specific course goals and lesson topics, the course is a vehicle for the students to become well-rounded Air Force officers. If students decide to commit themselves to an Air Force career, this course serves as a foundation for the challenges they will face as Air Force officers. Learning Outcomes:
- Know the significant historical events, leaders, and milestones that contributed to the development of the USAF.
- Understand that effective listening positively affects mission accomplishment.
- Exhibit knowledge of effective communication and demonstrate basic communicative skills.
- Know the various services and activities on a typical Air Force base.
- Exhibit knowledge of the basic characteristics of war and how it applies to the military.
- Exhibit knowledge of the importance of Core Values to Air Force members.
- Know the basic characteristics of Air Force leadership.
- Understand the importance of managing diversity and the concepts and consequences of harassment.
- Understand the meaning of the Oath of Office and Commissioning.
