AFL 301L - Leadership Laboratory


Description: LLAB is a dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership developmental activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of the prospective Department of the Air Force second lieutenants and complement the AFROTC academic program. It is a student-planned, organized, and executed practicum conducted under the supervision of the Detachment Commander and Operations Flight Commander.

Course Content:
This course will allow the cadet to build practical leadership skills by showing them how to apply leadership principles and theory to real-world examples and case studies.
Learning Outcomes:
  1. Understand and apply advanced skills such as power and influence, supervision, including; counseling techniques, officer or leader authority, responsibility, and accountability.
  2. Exhibit knowledge of the key terms and definitions used to describe air and space power.
  3. Understand the events, leaders, and technical developments surrounding USAF air and space power evolution.
  4. Demonstrate basic verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Exhibit knowledge of the Air Force Core Values and examples of their use throughout USAF air and space power evolution.
