DAN 151 - Applied Dance Description: Individual instruction in any level of a variety of dance forms, including but not limited to Contemporary, Modern, Ballet and Pointe, Jazz, Creative Movement, Fundamentals of Partnering, Hip-Hop, BeMoved©, Gentle BeMoved©, and European and Latin Ballroom.

Course Content:
- Applied dance fundamentals
- Theory and development of dance vocabulary production
- Technical facility
- Development of artistry through class training and class performance of selected studies and compositions in various dance styles, and/or methods of dance form(s)
Learning Outcomes:
- Apply dance fundamentals appropriate to level and area of study. (1)
- Apply theory and development of dance vocabulary for level and genre of study. (2)
- Dance with technical facility appropriate for genre and level of study. (3)
- Dance using styles and performance practices of the various dance periods and culture(s) of that genre. (4)
- Perform progressively advanced compositions in lessons, recitals, juries, and concerts. (1-4)
- Choreograph progressively advanced compositions in lessons, recitals, juries, and concerts. (1-4)
