CSA 496 - Internship: Computer Science Description: Supervised field experience intended to build upon previous coursework, linking the theoretical with day-to-day practical applications by applying subject knowledge relevant to the workplace. Individualized internship placements to develop personal and professional skills. S/U grading only.
Prerequisites: CSA 110 , CSA 250 , CSA 420 , and CSA 450
Credits: 4 Lecture: 0 Lab: 8
Course Content:
- Real-world experience
- Specialized technology adaptation and usage in the placement
- Technology development projects
- Problem-solving in professional technology projects
- Workplace behavior and professional ethics
Learning Outcomes:
- Apply computer science knowledge in practical settings. (1, 3-5)
- Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and methodologies. (1, 2)
- Employ problem-solving strategies to tackle computing challenges. (1, 3, 4)

Required Assessment:
- Evaluation by the workplace employer or supervisor.
- Record of Student Internship workplace hours.
