IHR 170 - Auriculotherapy in Reflexology

 

 


Description: Auriculotherapy is a therapeutic intervention in which stimulation of the ear is utilized to alleviate health conditions in other parts of the body. Includes exploring master points, emotional points and specific protocols are taught, including addiction relief.

Course Content:
  1. Foundations and history of auriculotherapy
  2. Anatomy of the ear and somatotopic mapping
  3. Master points and their therapeutic applications
  4. Emotional points and psychosomatic considerations
  5. Specific auriculotherapy protocols (e.g. addiction relief, stress, pain management)
  6. Techniques of stimulation: manual, electrical, and seed/bead methods
  7. Hands-on practice: ear reflexology integration
  8. Professional scope, safety, and ethical considerations in auriculotherapy

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Describe the historical development of auriculotherapy and its relationship to reflexology and acupuncture. (1)
  2. Identify the anatomical landmarks of the ear and somatotopic maps. (2)
