Completion of this program of study prepares students for entry-level employment as visual designers in agencies, in-house teams, and production environments.
Students develop competencies in typography, layout, illustration, digital imaging, motion graphics, and web design using industry-standard tools; apply fine art techniques; practice introductory accessibility/usability; and produce multi-format deliverables to specification.

Upon successful completion of the Visual Design AAS program, the learner will be able to: - Produce design compositions with industry-standard software to commnicate visually.
- Create motion sequences that integrate multiple design elements.
- Implement typographic systems using established conventions.
- Implement design solutions using fine art techniques.
- Produce production-ready design deliverables aligned to industry expectations.
- Evaluate visual work using discipline-specific vocabulary.
- Relate historical and contemporary art/design examples to design decisions.
- Apply introductory usability principles to digital deliverables.
