This certificate is designed to provide students with the skills required to install, configure, and secure a small to medium-sized network. Emphasis is on cybersecurity technologies and implementation. Students are prepared for the CompTIA Security+ certification. Successful students will have the skills required to gain employment in entry-level positions in the information technology field specializing in cybersecurity.
Credit Hours Required: 13-14

Program Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Cybersecurity Technician Certificate program, the learner will be able to:
- Describe and configure the hardware and software used in a small to medium sized computer network. (CNT 100)
- Describe the terms and technologies that comprise the field of cybersecurity, and implement strategies for managing an information security program. (CNT 105)
- Maintain and repair personal computers. (CNT 110)
- Discuss the methods and operation of local and wide area networks including routing protocols, WAN technologies, the OSI model, network operating systems, network security, and virtualization. (CNT 115)
- Configure and implement network security. (CNT 135)
