HIS 231 - United States History I Description: Survey of social, economic, political, and cultural history from pre-Contact through the Civil War. Emphasis on diverse scholarly interpretations of historical events and evidence. Examination of the continental approach to the development of the United States and the American people and their various contributions to America's shared past.
Prerequisite: ENG 101 or ENG 103 . Reading Proficiency.
