MAT 183  Precalculus (Trigonometry) Description: Topics from trigonometry essential to the study of calculus and analytic geometry. Includes trigonometric functions, radian measure, right and oblique triangle solutions, trigonometric identities and equations, and inverse trigonometric functions. Note: Computer use and or graphing calculator required.
Prerequisites: MAT 097 or a satisfactory score on the mathematics skills assessment.

Course Content:
 Right triangle trigonometry
 Trigonometric functions on the unit circle
 Radian and degree measures for angles
 Graphs of trigonometric functions and their inverses
 Oblique triangles (Law of Sines/Cosines)
 Trigonometric equations
 Trigonometric identities (Basic, Pythagorean, Reciprocal, Compound, DoubleAngle, HalfAngle, etc.)
 Inverse trigonometric functions
 Technology
