AHS 114C - Nursing Assistant Clinical Description: Provides the necessary clinical time to develop competency in the role of a nursing assistant through the participation in the care of patients or residents. Basic nursing assistant skills and emergency procedures; patient or resident needs and rights; written and verbal communication; ethical and legal aspects; safety and infection control. All clinical hours are performed in external health care facilities. S/U grading only.
Prerequisites: Reading Proficiency. MAT 082 or higher (or a satisfactory score on the mathematics skills assessment).
Corequisite: AHS 114 and AHS 114L
