College Honors Program

Each year the college typically accepts students into its Honors Program. The program offers educational enrichment through special events, lectures, and honors classes. Students enroll in a one-credit class ("The Honors Colloquium") each semester. The Honors Colloquium, provides critical thinking, service and leadership activities.  However, the Honors Program will be undergoing programmatic revision during AY24-25 and will not be accepting students until the new program is launched in AY25-26.   

Although the Honors College is currently undergoing revision, Yavapai College is accepting qualified students in their Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honors Society chapter, Beta Gamma Pi.  PTK is an international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs.  It is the largest honor society in American higher education with over two million members and more than 1,200 chapters in all 50 states and abroad. PTK recognizes and encourages its four corner stones: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Fellowship.
