CNC 201 - Computer Aided Programming for CNC Description: Two-dimensional designing of machinery parts using industry-standard software. Includes design and illustration of the part, tooling sequencing, starting a lathe using industry-standard software, part cutting simulation, and Numerical Control Code.
Prerequisites: CNC 101 (may be taken concurrently)
Credits: 3 Lecture: 2 Lab: 2

- Tooling for machining centers
- Using industry-standard software
- Introduction to 2.5D milling
- Introduction to turning
Learning Outcomes:
- Properly utilize tooling used in a CNC Mill and CNC Lathe. (1)
- Produce a CAD drawing for CNC machines using standard-industry software. (2)
- Produce a 2.5 D milling part using standard-industry software. (3)
- Program a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill using standard-industry software. (4)
