RAD 100 - Introduction to Medical Imaging


Description: Foundations of medical imaging and the practitioner's role in the health care delivery system. Includes an examination of the health care environment, radiography education, and related organizational topics. Ethical and legal considerations, and an introduction to patient care principles.

Prerequisites: Admission to the Radiologic Technology program. Reading Proficiency.

Corequisite: RAD 111 , RAD 111L RAD 125 RAD 170 , and RAD 175 .

  1. Describe health professions and their relationship to each other in the delivery of patient care. (1)

  5. Discuss the responsibilities and relationship of personnel in the radiology department. (5)
  6. Define credentialing and identify the professional agencies involved. (6)
