REC 140 - Aboriginal Living Skills Description: Introduction to Southwestern primitive skills. Creating fire with sticks, making and using basic stone tools, building primitive shelters, using plant fibers for rope and other utilitarian utensils. All students should be prepared for light hiking with a backpack.

- Perform basic skills used by indigenous people. (1)

- Perform "leave no trace" wilderness camping techniques as components of primitive survival skills. (3)
