LDR 425 - Leadership Application and Development Description: Application of leadership theories and intervention strategies to positively influence groups. Includes examination of researched/evidence-based theories of leadership and adopting a leadership style to lead effectively.
Prerequisites: Program Admission. LDR 300.

Course Content:
- Management and leadership theories and models
- Decision-making principles for leaders
- Leading independently without formal authority
- Intervention strategies for leading groups and teams
Learning Outcomes:
- Compare the concept of leadership to the concept of management. (1)
- Explain the major theories of leadership. (1)
- Evaluate solutions to leadership issues using the decision-making process. (2)
- Formulate skills needed to exert power and influence in a non-authoritative leadership role. (3)
- Create intervention strategies to effectively lead and motivate teams and groups. (4)
