AIT 120 - Pneumatic Systems
Description: Introductory course in the principles of pneumatic system operation, component construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation.

Course Content:
- Safety procedures and processes
- Pneumatic power systems and their functional characteristics
- Pneumatic components including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and accumulators
- Maintenance of pneumatic systems
- Pneumatic schematic symbols
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify shop hazards and emergency procedures. (1)
- Describe the operation, features and functions of pneumatic power systems. (2)
- Install pneumatic components including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and accumulators. (3)
- Operate pneumatic systems, including the adjustment of pneumatic pressure control valves in a given pneumatic system. (3)
- Test pneumatic components including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and accumulators. (3)
- Perform maintenance on pneumatic components, including inspection, removal, and replacement.(4)
- Interpret pneumatic schematics, including identifying schematic symbols, process flow, and operation of the components and systems. (5)
