CBT 102 - Framing I Description: An introductory course in the methods and materials necessary to build a wood framed building. Includes hands-on practice in the framing of floors, walls, and ceilings.

Course Content:
- Safety and tools
- Plan, specs, and codes
- Framing materials
- Floor layout
- Wall framing
- Door & window framing
- Drop ceiling
Learning Outcomes:
- Formulate strategies to mitigate safety issues on the job site. (1)
- Analyze and differentiate the operational and functional properties of framing materials, engineered lumber, and fasteners. (2)
- Summarize and evaluate green technologies as they relate to the carpentry trade. (3)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of tools chosen and used for carpentry projects. (1-7)
- Frame floor, walls, doors, windows, and ceiling of a small structure. (1-7)
