THR 134 - Musical Theater II Description: Intermediate study and performance of works from the musical theatre repertory, including from the Golden Age of Musical Theater to current works on Broadway applying vocal and movement skills. Theater attendance and/or assistance in college productions required.
Prerequisites: MUS 134 (may be taken concurrently) and THR 133
Credits: 3 Lecture: 2 Lab: 2

- Intermediate acting
- Musical script and score analysis
- Expanded character analysis
- Singing, acting, movement, and storytelling
- Ensemble teamwork for musical theater
- Staging, rehearsal and performance
- Specific musical theater styles
- Stage presence
- Professional audition techniques

- Perform solos and duets for musical theater. (1-9)
- Collaborate to create production numbers for musical theater. (5)
- Classify a broad repertoire of musical styles for audition and performance. (1-9)
